The Industrial switch POE does not supply power during use, how should we solve it?

1. First determine whether the powered device supports POE power supply

Not all devices can support POE power supply. Although the PSE will automatically detect the power supply at the beginning, please remember that this time is very short. If the device supports it, the PSE will provide power within 15μs, so if there is When there is no power supply, please don't take it for granted that the device is testing.


2. Detect whether the power of the receiving end device exceeds the maximum power supply power of the switch port

The port of the POE switch generally provides 2 hours of power supply, 15.4w and 30w. If a 15.4w switch is used, when the power of the device at the receiving end exceeds 15.4w, power supply failure or failure will occur.


3. Check whether the total power of the PD device exceeds the total power of the switch

In addition to the power supply of a single port, the Industrial POE switch also has the total power supply. The total power supply of high-power switches on the market is 90w, the rated power supply power of a single port is 15.4w, and the most ports are 8-port switches. Therefore, in conversion, if all ports reach full power, it is 8*15.4=123.2w. In this way, the total power of the switch is exceeded, and there will be problems with power supply. Therefore, when using a switch, you must take this power issue into consideration, and use devices with high power and devices with low power together.
